As the Senior Digital Transformation Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Dyson's next-generation digital initiatives that put our customers at the centre, provide functional insights to the business, and foster innovation across all touchpoints.
Leading a team based in Singapore, you will spearhead the ideation, scoping, and delivery of data-driven initiatives, in collaboration with cross-functional teams across IT and Business Functions. This role demands a strategic thinker, a technical innovator, and an experienced leader passionate about leveraging data to push the boundaries of product development.
A key part of the role will be navigating a matrixed stakeholder landscape, ensuring that solutions meet the needs of diverse teams and Business Functions. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies, and keeping abreast of relevant technological developments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Strategy
Facilitate implementation of the digital transformation strategy and roadmap, covering owner experience, consumer products portfolio as well as enterprise initiatives being implemented, ensuring alignment with the company’s broader product development goals. Lead and develop a team based in Singapore, who are currently driving high-impact initiatives across digital transformation, data products and programme management.
Champion the translation of data-driven initiatives including product, business and customer needs into scalable data-driven solutions covering Embedded Software, Application Software, Cloud as well as Enterprise IT systems. Proactively engage with stakeholders to collect, document, and prioritize requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Research & Development teams to integrate data into the product lifecycle. Together with IT, coordinate cross-functional teams to plan and execute data-driven initiatives from the inception stage, through to delivery and support.
2. Data Products, Innovation and Insights
Enable the development of insight-driven tools and products for continuous improvement, performance optimization, and intelligent diagnostics of Dyson products. Facilitate feedback collection from stakeholders and drive continuous improvement for these tools and products.
Drive innovation using data, machine learning, and AI to identify opportunities for product enhancement. Build the organization's capability in predictive and prescriptive analytics to guide decision-making.
Keep abreast of relevant technological developments and best practices, and proactively embed these into Dyson teams.
3. Operational Excellence & Cross-functional Collaboration
Connect the dots between IT, Business and Engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of data insights across Dyson.
Work closely with IT and Business Functions to plan data-driven initiative rollouts, drive user adoption, and provide ongoing support and training as needed.
Ensure governance and best practices around data privacy, security, and compliance.
10+ years of experience in digital, software, IT, data transformation and delivery.
Leadership Expertise: Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams with a strong focus on collaboration and results.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Software, Data, and Cloud Infrastructure. Experience with data systems, APIs, and creating data exchange workflows.
Product Development: Demonstrated success in integrating data products with physical product development lifecycles, preferably in consumer technology or engineering industries.
Analytics & AI: Working knowledge of machine learning and AI technologies with hands-on familiarity in transforming raw data into business insights.
Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills to engage with teams across engineering, business, and executive leadership.
Global Experience: Familiarity working within multinational and multi-cultural teams.
Educational Background: Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar; advanced degree preferred.
Preferred skills: experience with IoT, telemetry, or connected consumer ecosystems.
