At Career & Attachment Office (CAO), one of the key services is the provision of career consultation to students as well as to our industry partners. This is a key scope where we work and help our industry partners in strategizing branding, awareness and providing opportunities to students.

As the Career Consultant in the Industry Relation unit, he or she is responsible for leading project/s to develop engagement strategy and execute plans to increase job and internship opportunities in the non-STEM sectors.

We are looking for applicants with strong business development and collaborative skills with a passion to help develop Singapore’s next generation of workforce in partnership with alumni, employers, faculties and other stakeholders in the ecosystem.  

Job Responsibilities:

1. Project Lead to develop strategy and executable plans for team to enhance employer engagement / branding and expand networks for non-STEM sectors.

2. Influence and ensure team members are aligned with strategic goals.

3. Own the Banking and Finance sector portfolio with the following deliverables:

  • Deepen existing employers’ relationships.

  • Develop pipeline of opportunities (jobs and internship) for students.

  • Create innovative industry events to improve employers’ engagements and hiring.

  • Monitor trends and provide timely reports to management on engagement activities.


4. Provide career advisory pertaining to Banking and Finance sector.

5. Provide students industry insights through sharing, events and Teams chat.

6. Lead project/s to drive students’ interest in non- STEM sectors.

7. Partner closely with Career Coaches and Learning & Development Team to ensure students are prepped sufficiently to target key roles and top companies for internships and jobs.

8. Facilitate partnerships between Colleges, Schools and non-STEM Industries.

9. Partner schools in coming up with strategies to enhance the employability and employment outcomes of students.

Job Requirements:

1. A bachelor’s degree of any discipline, with working knowledge in HR, marketing, business.

2. Minimum 9 to 10 years of work experience, preferably in the banking and finance sector.

3. Team leadership experience for at least 5 years, with experience in industry engagement.

4. Passionate in developing and guiding/coaching students to motivate and inspire them to achieve their career aspirations.

5. Proven competency in building and developing long-term relationship with industry partners.

6. Experience working with tertiary students and coaching qualification are advantageous.

7. Possess strong initiative, self-motivated and achievement oriented.

8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

9. Able to work in a fast-paced environment within tight deadlines, detailed-oriented and able to think out of the box when solving problems.
