What You Will Do

  • Responsible to manage and make critical decisions on all aspects of supplier relationship including contracts, commercial/pricing, supply assurance and conflict resolution
  • Develop and execute sub-category strategies through alignment with Harman International global category lead, Business Units, engineering, quality, manufacturing activities
  • Coordination of engagement between procurement, supply chain functions and senior stake holders
  • This person will be an escalation/communication point for Harman International and the supply partner
  • Responsible for developing supplier selection in support of winning new business
  • Driving make Vs buy process
  • Identification, establishment and development of new suppliers, supplier relationship management, supplier portfolio management and supplier performance   evaluation
  • Planning, coordination, execution and documentation of negotiations & annual global price negotiations
  • Identification, implementation and documentation of cost reduction potential
  • Establish goals, improvement plans, business reviews and monthly reporting related to areas of responsibility
  • Timely coordination of procurement processes to ensure supply, cost and quality
  • Change-Management and SAP master data maintenance
  • Observation of global procurement markets

What You Need

  • University degree in Engineering or Business Administration
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant working experience preferably in the areas of either
  • Procurement or program sourcing experience, engineering, quality, or product development
  • Experience in procurement of electronic components is a great benefit
  • High level of commitment, strong self-motivation and goal orientation
  • Negotiation and relationship building skills
  • In-depth product knowledge in electronics, semiconductors is desired
  • Strong communication & presentation skills
  • Experience in international working environment with multicultural teams
  • Fluent English skills
  • Strong on data statisticical analysis by Excel or others

What is Nice to Have

  • German or Chinese skills highly preferred
  • Semiconductors or Electronics product sourcing background
  • Global mindset
