Northrop Grumman is seeking Associate Energetics Manufacturing Engineers. This position will be located at our Defense Systems Sector in Elkton, MD, as part of our Propulsion Systems and Controls Business Unit.

Northrop Grumman Propulsion Systems and Controls (PS&C) facility in Elkton, Maryland began solid-propellant rocket operations in 1948. Today, the Elkton PS&C facility designs, develops, and produces solid-propellant propulsion and ordnance systems in programs professionally managed for a wide variety of Government and commercial customers. The facility also serves as the hub for offsite engineering and test facilities in Ronkonkoma, NY and Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

Elkton, Maryland is located on the Upper Chesapeake Bay, midway between Philadelphia and Baltimore. Roles/Responsibilities:

• Provide manufacturing support to operations to meet quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
• Create, maintain and improve Process Control Documentation.

• Establish manufacturing lines for new products and product upgrades
• Conduct continuous improvement activities
• Establish Key Characteristics for manufacturing/processing and ensure systems are in place to monitor/control them

Basic Qualifications: 

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

• Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) from an accredited institution by August 2026
• Be majoring in or having majored in Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics, or Electro-Mechanical engineering, or closely related discipline
• Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher

Salary Range:

$72,700 - $109,100
