As a supplier quality compliance auditor, you will audit all Micron’s suppliers. The suppliers provide Frontend and Backend materials/capital equipment to Micron. You will collaborate with various teams to drive QMS activities and play a key role in aligning these activities to Micron's strategic objectives.
You will also be responsible for identifying critical Quality Systems or processes, measuring system performance, and initiating quality improvement projects or activities. You will analyze and report on data and metrics, and evaluate and propose solutions to address problems and improve performance. In this global role, you will work with personnel and leadership across multiple business units, worldwide operations, Process R and D, Material Engineering, Sales, and all other company departments. You will also support other Quality teams to conduct audits, gap analysis, and corrective action implementation, or maintain ISO certifications. 30%-40% of travel will be required.
Responsibilities
• Perform, plan, and implement supplier audits.
• Good follow-up on corrective actions from audits.
• Track and summarize audit indicators for review and formulate recommended action plans to improve supplier QMS.
Requirements:
• Ability to coordinate efficiently with suppliers to plan, implement audits and follow up
• Excellent problem-solving, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently or in teams
• An in-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 AND ISO/TS 16949 requirements and its quality tools (FMEA, SPC, PPAP, APQP, MSA, 8D)
• Traveling is required
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor of Science in Materials Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years working in semiconductor assembly and/or memory module SSD manufacturing
• Attended Lead Assessor course in ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, and quality tools (FMEA, SPC, PPAP, APQP, MSA, 8D)
• 3 to 5 years of work experience in QMS Audits (preferably experience in handling and maintaining quality management systems) in the semiconductor industry
• Proficient in written & spoken English a additional language will be an added advantage.
