As Sr. Systems Engineer III, you’ll lead the technical operations and engineering efforts for a large, complex system utilizing Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The ideal candidate will bring extensive technical expertise in enterprise systems, IT operations, and network operations center (NOC) environments, combined with the leadership ability to direct and manage a team of 50 or more technical staff members. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of mission-critical systems.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for the operation and modernization of Oracle EBS and OCI environments.
  • Oversee daily IT operations and ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of enterprise systems.
  • Direct the activities of a large technical team, including system administrators, database administrators, network engineers, and application developers
  • Lead and manage the daily operations of Oracle EBS and OCI environments to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Oversee the resolution of high-priority incidents and the implementation of long-term solutions.
  • Develop and execute plans for system upgrades, migrations, and optimization projects.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance metrics to proactively identify and address potential issues.
  • Provide mentorship and direction to technical staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical initiatives with organizational goals
  • Prepare and deliver technical reports and briefings to stakeholders and executive leadership.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • You have an active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Master’s Degree in Systems or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years deep technical knowledge of Oracle EBS, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and related technologies, including database management and middleware.
  • 10+ years’ technical experience in a network operations or IT operations center within the Federal Government.
  • You currently hold the following certifications: Oracle EBS, ITIL4 Practice Manager Plan, Implement, and Control, CISSP or CISM
  • 3+ experience in cloud security, automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Strong understanding of IT operations, monitoring tools, and NOC processes.
  • Experience with managing multiple DevSecOps teams and CI/CD pipelines
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop technical staff.
