The Turbo Kitter position is responsible for gathering, inspecting, and packaging individual components into prepared kits, based on manufacturing or customer orders. This role enhances operational efficiency by ensuring all necessary parts are available for assembly or shipping. High attention to detail, inventory accuracy, and proficiency with pick lists are essential.
Core Responsibilities
Evaluate production schedules to determine customer order priorities.
Review shop order pick lists to understand material kitting needs.
Retrieve packaging, components, and MRO materials from the warehouse to support both production and service parts schedules.
Inspect materials for damage and correct counts.
Sort materials into pre-designed kits, ensure accurate labeling, and stage materials in the appropriate production area.
Record inventory movements promptly and accurately in both ERP and MES systems; report discrepancies or shortages to the Planning/Scheduling team.
Collaborate with Quality Assurance to handle defective materials and document appropriately in ERP and MES systems.
Assist with Lean Foundations initiatives at both DuBois facilities.
Reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to read and follow production schedules, pick lists, and basic inspection criteria.
Experience with BPCS and ShopVue inventory and lot traceability systems.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
Licensed to operate PIT and lift equipment, or ability to obtain license within 30 days of hire; able to lift up to 30 lbs independently.
Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials flow.
Previous experience in manufacturing, kitting, or warehousing preferred.
Compliance with all PPE requirements (safety glasses, hi-viz vest, safety toe shoes, gloves, etc.).
