Job Description:
This position assists in determining proper corrective action to be taken with damaged or worn equipment based on the history of breakdowns and discussions with the operations team to determine the most cost-effective solutions. This position assists with dispatching BaSE Mechanics to complete necessary conveyor system repairs and Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs). This position monitors status of repairs and PMI updates daily to ensure timely completion of work. This position assists conducting facility inspections and identifying operational improvements needed to promote efficiency of package flow and safety. This position will require the individual supervisor to have a high-level knowledge of the systems and processes required to maintain and support automation.

Responsibilities:
Review system performance reports, dispatch BaSE Automation Specialists and develop plans for corrective action
Monitoring and troubleshooting issues in the field as second level support for the BaSE Automation Specialists.
Correcting methods/issues working with the operations management.
Communicating assigned work status to colleagues to determine potential impact on the department's schedule.
Communicating with BaSE Automation Specialists to resolve Automation and conveyor-related issues
Communicating mechanical issues that affect sortation with Mechanics and the BaSE Management team.
Drives projects to optimize automated systems and processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or international equivalent in Engineering - Preferred
2+ years of experience in automation - Preferred
Programming experience including troubleshooting, basic understanding of networks, motor control theory, and operation including basic AC and DC electrical troubleshooting - Preferred
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and simple diagrams - Preferred
Labor relations experience - Preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products - Required
Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week
