Senior Manager – Finance Transformation & Process Excellence
Role Purpose
The Senior Manager – Finance Transformation & Process Excellence will lead large-scale finance transformation initiatives focused on process standardization, documentation, optimization, and digital enablement. This role requires a highly experienced finance leader with deep expertise in process mapping, operating model design, automation enablement, and people leadership.
The individual will be responsible for improving efficiency, reducing risk, increasing transparency, change- management and enabling data-driven finance operations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Transformation & Process Excellence
- Lead end-to-end finance transformation initiatives across finance functions.
- Design, document, and implement standardized finance processes and operating models for the COE that could also be cross validated with global/regional practices.
- Drive process optimization, simplification, and control improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Own and govern process mapping, documentation, SOPs, RACI matrices, and controls frameworks.
- Establish best-practice process libraries and ensure consistent adoption across teams.
- Ensure that some of the processes documents simplify to use as onboarding tool for joiners or internal role transfer resource layering it with Ai tools to post queries
Digital Enablement & Tools
- Leverage finance transformation tools to automate and optimize finance processes.
- Use visualization and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel advanced models) to provide insights, track performance, and support decision-making.
- Partner with Adobe Technical Services (ATS), Finance Systems in FTSO, Business process Org (CAO office), Finance partners and business teams to design and deploy digital solutions that enable scalable finance operations.
Resource Optimization
- Optimize finance resources through process re-engineering, automation, and workload balancing.
- Build execution roadmaps, manage dependencies, and ensure delivery of transformation programs on time and within scope.
- Identify and track financial and operational benefits from transformation initiatives.
People Leadership
- Lead and develop a team of process, transformation, and finance professionals.
- Provide coaching, performance management, and career development for direct and indirect reports.
- Build a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as a trusted advisor to Finance Leadership, Business Leaders, and external partners.
- Translate business strategy into finance process and technology roadmaps.
- Drive change management and adoption of new ways of working.
Governance Model and Ownership
- Develop an operating model to build and track a governance framework for all automation and process projects, both active and newly submitted.
- The advisory board will receive project status updates that include a scientific priority ranking system to support decisions on whether projects should be managed by the FTO or handled by individual teams.
- Each project must have clear timelines, assigned personnel, and regular tracking and reporting.
Must-Have Requirements
- 20+ years of experience in Finance, Finance Transformation or Operations.
- Proven experience leading large-scale finance transformation or shared services programs.
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Process mapping (As-Is / To-Be)
- SOP and policy documentation
- Controls and compliance design
- Process standardization and optimization
- Demonstrated experience implementing or advising on finance transformation tools such as ERP.
- Strong working knowledge of data and visualization tools such as Power BI, Excel advanced analytics, or similar platforms.
- People management experience leading and developing teams.
- Experience working with senior finance leaders (CFO, Controllers, FP&A, etc.).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Good-to-Have Requirements
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or process excellence certifications.
- Exposure to RPA, AI, or workflow automation in finance.
- Experience working in global or multi-country finance organizations.
- Prior experience in shared services, GCCs, or finance COEs.
- Consulting or transformation program management background.
- Experience implementing controls frameworks, SOX, or regulatory compliance models.
