Associate, Regulatory Planning
This position provides support to the Office of Regulatory Planning (ORP) for regulatory planning initiatives related to the development and implementation of clinical and administrative programs within the NewYork-Presbyterian enterprise.
Essential Job Duties
Conducts research through a variety of platforms and communicates with stakeholders on relevant regulatory impacts to the hospital.
Maintains the hospital’s certified bed information preserving the accuracy on an on-demand basis.
Lead meetings with internal workgroups and external regulatory agencies.
Prepares regulatory applications for the hospital including Certificate of Need Applications and Prior Approval Requests. This includes collaborating with other departments and writing programmatic narratives that demonstrate the need for a particular endeavor.
Interact with regulatory agencies onsite and via other forms of communication including but not limited to pre-occupancy surveys and other initiatives.
Performs other professional-level responsibilities including but not limited to participating in meetings and events as the ORP subject matter expert and generating standard reports for leadership.
This is a dynamic and highly visible role, and your project assignments will be constantly changing.
In this role, you will be expected to work onsite from our midtown Manhattan office and travel between the organization, as needed.
Preferred Criteria
Master’s Degree
Notary Licensed in New York (Preferred). A notary license must be obtained within three months from the date of hire.
PMP Certification (Preferred)
Strong project management and critical thinking skills.
Demonstrate strong collaborative teamwork skills.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large and diverse data sets.
Comfort with ambiguity.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
Required Criteria
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in regulatory, operations, strategic planning, other health care and/or related experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
