Job Description

Organize activities related to safety, environment, and hygiene, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and promoting a safe, healthy, and clean workplace. Train employees in emergency response, life safety, industrial hygiene, chemical handling, and fire prevention. Investigate accidents and recommend corrective actions. Prepare reports required by federal, state, and local authorities.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support the creation and updating of procedures.
  • Investigate incidents and prepare reports.
  • Participate in emergency brigades.
  • Verify and release high-risk permits (working at heights, welding, confined spaces).
  • Review and release contractors on site.
  • Follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct floor inspections to identify unsafe conditions and behaviors.
  • Deliver EHS training (contractors, monthly regulations, high-risk activities).
  • Comply with environmental, safety, occupational health, and quality standards.
  • Store formats and records according to retention procedures.
  • Participate in KATA events.
  • Ensure chemical compliance (GHS).
  • Coordinate shipments of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
  • Ensure labeling of containers on the floor.

The Essentials – You will Have

  • Technical degree or incomplete engineering studies.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Basic knowledge of environmental and safety management.
  • Train in environmental and safety topics.
  • English.
