Summary: As a Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, coding, and testing multiple components of application code across one or more clients. Your typical day will involve working with Java Enterprise Edition and performing maintenance, enhancements, and/or development work. Roles & Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain high-quality code using Java Enterprise Edition. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, design, and implement software solutions that meet business requirements. - Perform maintenance, enhancements, and/or development work on existing applications. - Write unit tests and perform code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability. - Participate in Agile development methodologies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Strong proficiency in Java Enterprise Edition. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with Java Standard Edition and Java Full Stack Development. - Solid understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented design, design patterns, and data structures. - Experience with web application development using frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate. - Experience with database technologies such as MySQL and Oracle. - Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Java Enterprise Edition. - The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in computer science or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. - This position is based at our Chennai office.
