The planning analyst will be responsible for developing forecasts for Assurant’s logistics, liquidation, and insurance programs. Responsibility includes collaborating with external Tier 1 and 2 clients to develop a consistent and robust planning/forecast framework to establish DCC volume targets, capacity plans, and establish device revenue expectations. This individual will also be responsible for developing, maintaining, and distributing program KPI reporting and analytics to external clients as well as to internal leadership teams. This position will participate in developing and executing plans that will enable the DCC Organization to meet and exceed volume and margin objectives.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Serve as the forecasting SME and interface on planning efforts and projects to meet and exceed supply needs and minimize operating costs

  • Ability to communicate opportunities and risks to all levels of management across organization on proactive basis

  • Develop reporting tools and forecast models to standardize and optimize forecasts output across key variables and parameters that impact demand and labor forecasts

  • Leverage forecasting and inventory planning systems to generate 12-18 month rolling demand forecast, purchasing plans to stock optimal inventory levels, as needed

  • Establish processes and metrics to assess and continually improve scope and accuracy of forecasting platform and outputs

  • Actively participate in the development, expansion, and implementation of enhanced Global and Executive S&OP process

  • Participate with management team to create processes and reports to monitor operational and financial performance across sites and programs

  • Partner with colleagues and operations management teams to develop capacity plans, labor models and RF plans

  • Familiarity with supported systems (ERP/Oracle/Unit Tracker/ePrism)

  • Gather insights by liaising with US based leaders including Actuary, Finance, IT, and other corporate functions

  • Support ad hoc requests across DCC site leadership teams

  • Analyze information and use logic to identify trends, draw conclusions, identify issues, propose effective solutions to understand complex business processes and recommend continuous process improvements

  • Apply knowledge of business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities

What are the requirements needed for this position? 

  • BS in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, Operations. Mathematics or Management

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a demand planning, forecasting or supply chain management

  • Has ability to adapt to the changing needs of a project (flexibility/versatility)

  • Data handling skills utilizing Excel (advanced level), SQL, PowerBI, and Tableau

  • Ability to create/present Senior Level Tableau/PowerBi/PowerPoint views to monitor business performance

  • Expert modeling skills

  • Proficient in forecasting or statistical software

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with internal teams

  • Team player that can work in a complex and fast paced environment

  • Experience identifying, evaluating, and reconciling data discrepancies

  • Ability to utilize dynamic tools in comprehensive decision-making

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to understand complex business processes

  • Shows initiative in gaining in-depth experience in areas of technology relevant to Mobile devices

  • Ability to interact with and build productive working relations with various functions is essential

  • Proven knowledge and proficiency in forecast modeling platforms and tools

  • Improving forecasting processes and systems

  • Working knowledge of all facets of demand forecasting, sales forecasting, and corporate sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes

  • Progressive experience in planning, forecasting, and business analytics

  • Preference will be given to candidates in Dallas, TX area

Pay Range:

$62,000.00 - $103,400.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
