Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Group Director, Technology Operations – Home Services will incubate, scale, and transform Walmart’s Enterprise Scheduled Delivery & Services ecosystem, including Big & Bulky white-glove experiences. This leader will own both steady-state operations and enterprise transformation initiatives across technology and product, while expanding Walmart’s home services footprint through marketplace launches, vendor partnerships, and a next-generation in-home services model powered by facilities management capabilities. This role will define and operationalize Walmart’s end-to-end home services strategy — integrating scheduling, field execution, marketplace services, vendor ecosystems, and customer experience into a seamless, scalable platform. This exciting opportunity will: · Drive a high-impact initiative central to Walmart’s Home and Services growth strategy, enhancing customer trust and lifetime value. · Shape the future of in-home services by combining marketplace capabilities, last-mile orchestration, facilities management, and omni-channel experiences. · Build a differentiated, tech-enabled services model that integrates product purchase, delivery, installation, and post-purchase support. The Group Director will work primarily with eCommerce Fulfillment Transformation, Last Mile Delivery (LMD), Marketplace, Facilities Management, Corporate Development, Product & Technology teams (Scheduling, Routing, Catalog, APIs), and Strategic Partnerships. The position is based in Bentonville, AR, and reports to the Senior Vice President, [Technology Operations / Fulfillment Innovation / Home – TBD]. You’ll sweep us off our feet if… · You have 10+ years of experience in technology operations, last-mile delivery, marketplace platforms, supply chain, or services ecosystems. · Proven ability to launch and scale complex, tech-enabled service models in enterprise environments. · Deep understanding of scheduled delivery, routing optimization, field operations, and white-glove service execution. · Experience leading acquisitions, partnerships, or post-merger integrations within services or marketplace ecosystems. · Strong strategic thinking and financial acumen to build business cases, manage P&L impact, and drive ROI. · Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills, with the ability to influence across senior leadership. You’ll make an impact by… · Designing and transforming Walmart’s Enterprise Scheduled Delivery & Services platform, including Big & Bulky white-glove experiences. · Leading both run-the-business and change-the-business initiatives across tech, product, and operations. · Launching and scaling a Home Services Marketplace that integrates third-party providers into Walmart’s ecosystem. · Building scalable partner onboarding, quality governance, and performance management frameworks. · Leading vendor acquisition diligence and post-integration technology strategy in partnership with Corporate Development. Incubating a Geek Squad / Spark Squad–style in-home services model powered by facilities management capabilities (e.g., Vizio pilot), including workforce, dispatch, and field enablement platforms. · Driving operational readiness across scheduling systems, SLAs, service catalog integration, customer care workflows, and field tooling. · Developing pricing, attach rate, and service monetization models aligned with Walmart’s EDLP promise. · Establishing KPIs that improve NPS, reliability, attach rates, and cost-to-serve. The annual salary range for this position is $160,000.00 - $320,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
