International Workplace and Workforce squad (IWC) form part of our Secure Network The team, International Workplace and Workforce squad (IWC) form part of our Secure Network Services (SNS) crew, responsible for securely enabling connectivity for our international offices and delivering Security services namely DIA and SD-WAN to International sites. As custodians of our international branch workplace technologies, IWC support Network Access Control, International Corporate Network, International Wireless Connectivity, Digital Media Services and Corporate Edge Firewall Services. In summary, you'll be joining the driving force behind continuous improvements to the tools and platforms our international squads use in delivering world-class outcomes for our customers.

Your Impact and Contribution

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will contribute to the secure delivery of cutting edge tools and platforms that support our international networks, driving everything from architecting integration, through to deployment and continual improvement. You will partner effectively with multi-disciplinary stakeholders to ensure relevant risk, tech governance and statutory requirements are effectively managed, equipping our our international colleagues with the tools required in continuously delivering world-class experiences for our customers. To achieve this, your role may include:

  • Engaging with tech leadership to ascertain strategic objectives and delivery roadmaps.

  • Architecting and executing solutions, in line with risk, business and technical strategic objectives.

  • Authoring complex implementation plans and configuration of network and security changes into our network services and devices.

  • Providing oversight and technical guidance on projects, ensuring quality, security and timely delivery.

  • Driving adherence to best-practice minimum standards on cyber security risk and threat modelling.

  • Developing and deploying high quality security platforms with comprehensive test coverage.

  • Identifying and capitalising on opportunities for process optimisation and task automation.

  • Adopting an ever-curious approach, staying up to date with emerging technology threats and opportunities.

About You

A suitably experienced Senior Network Engineer, with demonstrable success in delivering stable, scalable and secure network enterprise grade environments. Your demonstrable experience at effectively partnering across multiple disciplinary areas, have influenced best practice outcomes and contributed to the timely, safe and quality delivery of key initiatives. In summary, we’d love to hear from candidates who are:

  • Solution focused, and well versed at navigating ambiguity to problem solve and deliver insights into complex technical challenges, particularly in highly pressurised situations.

  • Clear and effective communicators, with well-developed stakeholder partnering skills.

  • Values driven in all decision making, considering "Can We" vs "Should We".

  • Able to positively influence at all levels, particularly in driving risk, security, process optimisation mindsets.

  • Highly skilled on Network Engineering tools, such as:

    • Cisco Routing and Switching – Adept with BPG, OSPF, STP flavours, Nexus OS, DC Leaf & Spine.

    • Security – Palo Alto NGFW, PRISMA SaaS solution, PA SD-WAN solution BC Proxies, Cisco ASA NG Firewalls, IPSec and SSL VPNs.

    • Wireless – Cisco Wireless, Juniper MIST Wireless.

    • Network Access Control – Forecourt NAC, Cisco ISE.

    • Automation – Python & Ansible, Dockers.

    • Cloud technologies (AWS and Azure) and Virutalization (VMWare, Hyper-V, RHEL).
