We are looking for a Node JS/ Nest JS software engineer who is passionate about creating scalable, performant, and secure web applications with at least 24 months work experience in software development and other modern technologies, while demonstrating an ability to be an energetic and collaborative team player.

You will join an innovative and fast-paced team driven to build and expand our application, with a particular focus on Generative AI integration. Within Accenture, we are a high-performing, tech-focused team with a ‘start-up’ like culture and we’re looking to expand.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the front-end features of our products, collaborating with other developers and designers, and ensuring the quality and performance of the code. You will also be involved in the design and architecture of the system, as well as testing and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy backend services and APIs using Node JS/ Nest JS, Express, MongoDB, and other technologies.
• Implement best practices for code quality, performance, security, and scalability.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues across the development, staging, and production environments.
• Integrate with external services and APIs, such as payment gateways, authentication providers, cloud services, etc.
• Collaborate with the frontend team, the product team and the QA team to ensure the alignment of requirements, specifications and deliverables.
• Optimize the web applications for speed, scalability, and security.
• Participate in code reviews, code analysis, and code optimization.
• Research and learn new technologies and trends in the web development field.

• Technical skill required:
  • At least 2 years of experience in web development, with a focus on backend development using Node JS.
  • Proficient in JavaScript, ES6, TypeScript, and Node JS frameworks, such as Express, Nest, Koa, etc.
  • Familiar with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks such as Angular or React.
  • Experience with testing and debugging tools.
  • Experience with MongoDB, or other NoSQL databases, and ORM/ODM tools, such as Mongoose, TypeORM, etc.
  • Experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs, and API documentation tools, such as Swagger, Postman, etc.
  • Experience with version control, CI/CD, and deployment tools, such as Git, GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, etc.
  • Knowledge of web security, authentication, authorization, encryption, and data protection.
  • Knowledge of web performance, optimization, caching, and load balancing

Nice to have

• Tertiary qualification in Software / IT related degree - this could include Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering and others with the appropriate level of technical experience.

  • Docker / Podman
  • Kubernetes
  • Linux / SSH / Shell scripting
  • ADO (Azure DevOps)
  • Rabbit MQ
  • Gitlab & CI/CD pipeline experience.
