The Opportunity

  • Central Operation Response provides for the daily coordination and optimization of the Building Automation System.
  • Central Operations Response monitors alarm systems 24 hours a day, 365 days a year (without exception to weekends and Holidays). Team members are required to work rotating shifts – 4 days on 4 days off. NIGHTSHIFT.
  • The candidate will monitor multiple reporting and alarming systems concurrently, learning systems and procedures quickly at an operational level.
  • The candidate determines areas where corrective action is required and will communicate quickly and professionally while multitasking through solutions and contacts.
  • Communication is done both verbally and in writing.
  • Written communication serves as incident summaries, which are reviewed by trades, management, and executive management.
  • The candidate also communicates daily, or as conditions transform, the operational status of the systems to all concerned groups.
  • The groups would include Utilities, Maintenance, Facility Maintenance, and divisional users of the systems. LC Central Operation Response makes sound decisions, considering the implications of each option as they align with established standard procedures.
  •  LC Central Operation Response leads the Work Order Administration processes, creating work orders and scanning documentation into multiple databases.

What You’ll Work On

  • Continuously monitor the Building Automation Systems and Process Alarm Systems for alarm activity within various sites (Abbott Park and Off-Site Buildings within Lake County).
  • Communicates security, safety, emergency, and business risk information quickly and professional while under pressure.
  • Reaction and communication can demand emergency-level attention.
  • Clear and precise written documentation includes incident summaries that are often reviewed various levels of management.
  • Documentation can be selected for internal and external audit review.  The operator monitor multiple reporting and alarming systems concurrently.
  • System and procedure knowledge must be acquired quickly, at an operational level.
  • Maintain accuracy on notification reports within the Maximo Call List Database.
  • Make urgent and effective decisions, evaluating the consequences of each option in accordance with best practices and procedures.

Required Qualifications

•    HS Graduate

Preferred Qualifications

•    Associate’s degree 

•    Computer experience

•    Familiarity with Microsoft Suite, MAXIMO, Sharepoint, Smartsheet

The base pay for this position is

$19.85 – $39.65/hour
