Title: Benefits Accounting Manager

Position Summary: 

The Benefits Accounting Manager provides monthly reconciliation for a variety of programs within the Benefits Department including, but not limited to, calculating costs and reimbursement expenses related to health insurance, other assorted insurance policies and 401K plans; notifying internal management and clients of any discrepancies within the reconciliation; and provides extensive monthly reports to management and upon request from clients.

 Essential Functions and Responsibilities:  

• Maintains a thorough knowledge of the organization and adheres to all organizational standards.

• Provides specialized accounting analysis and reports upon request.

• Reconciles employee payment and client cost for monthly cost reports and invoicing related to all benefit products offered.

• Analyzes client and employee benefit accounting discrepancies.

• Corrects benefit accounting discrepancies for both client and employee.

 • Manages all benefit accounting procedures and processes to ensure system accuracy and efficiency.

• Manages retirement wage reconciliations.

• Establishes and maintains benefit-related records for internal employees.

• Manages the reconciliation of the Resourcing Edge HR HSA/FSA.

• Assists with special projects and performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

 Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred. Extensive knowledge of employee benefits accounting practices and general ledger preferred. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task required

Computer Skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software required. Knowledge of industry-related software (Prism/iSolved and Tabulera)) preferred.

Advanced skills with Excel software required.

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
