About the role: 

On this role you will perform routine and complex work related to the calibration of test/measurement equipment. You will use, maintain, create calibration procedures and measurement systems on tested/measurement equipment in compliance with internal and ISO 13485 requirements. 

Your key duties and responsibilities as a Metrology / Calibration Technician:

• To plan and communicate the calibration calendar (plan)

• Perform calibration and other related processes described in internal/global procedures and to ensure compliance to all GMPs

• Participate on project activities and effectively communicate among other departments (managers, Engineers and technicians) and vendors, Customer Service Representatives, customers

• To negotiate time window together with production to have machines available

• To prepare calibration reports and certificates  and archive all document and keep them available at all time

• To develop calibration procedures and methods

• To collect, compile, measure, summarize, and record data gathered during calibration and enter repair and calibration data into calibration database system

• To identify out-of-tolerance conditions, measurement errors and perform corrective action via adjustments, component replacement, correction factors, etc 

• To perform uncertainty evaluation and analysis for measurement standards and associated measurement processes 

• To inform users if needed and owners of equipment's in calibration concepts and procedures

• Responsibility for ownership (like all employees on site) during all audits (internal, Corporate, External, for Quality, Environment, etc…)

About you: 

• Experience in manufacturing area, preferably regulated industry

Education / Qualifications: 

• Minimum Secondary school education

• Previous experience as a Metrology / Calibration Technician or on a similar role (preferred)

• Precision measurement equipment laboratory (PMEL) or test measurement diagnostic equipment (TMDE) training/experience (preferred) 

• Technical writing ability,  Understanding of basic statistics technics (preferred),

• Intermediate ability to troubleshoot repair, align and optimize precision equipment (preferred)

• Knowledge of Quality Management system and regulatory requirements (preferred)

• Proficient in use of MS Word, Excel and Outlook

• Communicative level of English language
