Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor security tools and dashboards (e.g., SIEM, EDR, firewalls) for suspicious activity and alerts

  • Perform initial triage of security events and escalate incidents as needed

  • Document incident details and maintain logs with accuracy and consistency

  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of low-level security incidents

  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and response playbooks

  • Work closely with Level 2/3 engineers for escalations and case follow-ups

  • Support basic threat intelligence gathering and analysis

  • Assist with regular audits and compliance checks

  • Maintain awareness of security trends, best practices, and tools

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts


 

Education & Experience:

  • Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field

  • 0–2 years of experience in a cybersecurity, IT support, or SOC environment

  • Internships or practical experience with security tools is a plus
     

Technical Skills:

  • Basic understanding of security principles, threats, and technologies

  • Familiarity with operating systems (Windows/Linux) and networking concepts

  • Exposure to SIEM tools, antivirus, firewalls, and ticketing systems preferred

  • Ability to follow and apply procedures for incident detection and response
