About This Role
As a UX Designer on the Lumio team, you’ll bring design thinking into new products within an emerging space. You will work closely with a Product Manager to define and solve complex problems, help with research, write jobs to be done, lead out on designing solutions from wireframes to prototypes.
Overall Responsibilities
Solve and design solutions for new product initiatives
Become an expert in the user; understand their needs and motivations, test usability, and accessibility
Define solutions and clearly communicate them to the team
Work with engineers and supply them with well thought out designs and specifications
Work with other designers to design guidelines and principles to stay consistent
Deliver the best user experience for our Internal Users and External Solar and Home Experience Customers
Perform other needed job tasks as requested by leadership
Qualifications
2+ years of Product Design or equivalent experience
Passionate about design, obsessed with delightful user experience
Experience with composition, grids, typography, color theory, animations, ratios etc
Love of discovery and the ability to meet with people to understand human problem
Understanding of engineering, navigation norms and and the ability to work within a design system
Prototyping skills with considerations for usability, accessibility and privacy
Ability to organize, prioritize and work within system constraints
Understanding of behaviors, motivations and the ability to create good user experiences
