How you will create an impact

• Maintain the Casualty Underwriting Guidelines that adhere to all corporate guidelines and support the strategy and profit goals of the company.

• Underwrite new and renewal business to promote premium growth within UW authority.

• Provide sound underwriting decisions, exhibit flexibility, and price risks to achieve established profit goals for the company..

• Work independently to evaluate and analyze submissions, apply underwriting guidelines/business practices and make an underwriting decision.

• Maintaining broker/client relationships.

• Ensure that all casualty pricing tools are being used correctly and that all casualty quotes, binders and policies are issued in accordance with regulatory and corporate policies.

• Adhere to underwriting authority & underwriting guidelines.

• Ensure the tracking of all Casualty Accounts of AML
• Ensure timely update of eStart and other tracking tools.
• Handling of all process oriented tasks ensuring a smooth process in place
• Underwriting Excellence

What you’ll need to succeed

• Should have excellent technical knowledge of all liability products and common market wordings
• Demonstrate good business management skills in planning, organizational ability, decision-making, and priority setting with superior time management skills.

• Ability to work independently, self-manages, organizes and prioritizes work with minimal direction from superiors.

• Ability to establish trust and effective working relationships with team, filed offices and producers.

• Integrity, image, communication skills, interpersonal skills at an established high professional level.

• Commitment to maintain and develop underwriting skills and technical knowledge.
