About the Actuarial Science Group:
The actuarial science group within the Division of Banking and Finance (B&F) is dedicated to research excellence, with our faculty's work consistently featured in top finance and actuarial/insurance journals. Based on publications in the top actuarial science journals from 2019 to 2023, our group ranks No. 5 among business schools worldwide according to the UNL ranking. The actuarial science group offers two undergraduate specializations: Actuarial Science (ACS) and Risk Analytics (RA). The ACS program is the only one in Singapore accredited by the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and recognized by the Society of Actuaries as a Center of Actuarial Excellence (CAE). The RA program covers the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) exam curriculum and enhances students’ analytical skills for financial risk management.
Managed by the actuarial science group, the Insurance Risk & Finance Research Centre (IRFRC) actively collaborates with the insurance industry and regulators in research and talent development. Research topics include longevity risk, cyber risk, and catastrophe risks in the Asia Pacific. The Centre promotes students’ exposure to the insurance industry and has developed professional education programmes.

Requirements:
Candidates for the Full Professor position must demonstrate significant achievements and leadership roles in research, teaching, industry outreach, and program development. They must also have made substantial contributions to the profession and have great international visibility.
Candidates for the Associate Professor position should have an established record of excellence in research and teaching and significant experience in industry collaboration.
Candidates for the Assistant Professor position should have a proven track record of excellence in both research and teaching, along with a strong interest in collaborating with the insurance industry.
For all ranks, preference will be given to candidates who are Fellows of the Institute or Society of Actuaries in the UK, Australia, Canada, or the US, or those who are making significant progress toward obtaining their actuarial professional credentials.
