Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is looking for:

Financial Controller

Type of Employment: Permanent

Location: Riga, Latvia

Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA (relocation assistance is not provided) 

WHAT YOU'LL DO 

• Gaining a solid understanding of the Company’s ERP system and accounting policies;

• Ensuring correctness and reliability of financial information to meet internal policies within agreed deadlines;

• Maintaining accurate and timely execution of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting closes;

• Secure the correctness and completeness of station P&L and drive corrective actions when necessary (accruals, adjustments, reclassifications, allocations, etc.);

• Participating in Finance projects, making proposals on optimization and improvements;

• Develop and maintain process documentation.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

•  University Degree in Economics or Finance field;

• Solid experience (3+ years) in the accounting or audit field, preferably within an international work environment;

• Experience in retail accounting and retail management systems;

• Strong analytical and accounting skills;

• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end and reporting process;

• Experience with driving process improvement;

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills at the distance;

• Self-driven, pro-active, improvement and high-quality focus on deliverables and deadlines;

• Good computer skills (excel) and general accounting system background;

• Precise, analytical, organized and stress-resistant personality;

• Fluent in English (both verbal and written) to communicate with colleagues in Europe.
