Physical and Occupational Therapy Department, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston MA.
Experienced occupational or physical therapists needed for treatment of patients with lymphedema and lipedema at a large teaching hospital.
Massachusetts General Hospital’s Outpatient PT/OT Department has an opening for a certified lymphedema therapist. MGH is one of the world’s most distinguished medical centers and one of the top cancer centers in the country. As a member of the rehabilitation team, you would have opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration with MGH’s leading experts in lymphatic diseases and oncology.
As a Lymphatic Education and Research Network Center of Excellence, we see patients with lymphedema affecting the breast, trunk, head and neck, genital, upper and/or lower extremity regions, and patients with lipedema. We have a growing lymphatic surgery practice across MGB. Ongoing mentorship will be provided to this candidate, including potential opportunities for research collaboration with the Lymphedema Research Program.
The successful candidate would have completed full certification in lymphedema training (LANA not required) and come with experience in treating this population. We are seeing an individual with strong framework for clinical examination/evaluation skills, excellent communication and a clinical curiosity that drives learning.
Hours can be negotiated (40 or less) , covering a minimum of a 3 day/ week schedule. Opportunity is also available to blend clinical practice with another patient population that the candidate has experience with and is a population seen at this site.
Location: Boston main campus site.

Education
Master's Degree Occupational Therapy required
Minimum master’s degree or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy; MA licensed, Lymphedema Certification (135 hours).
