General Area of Responsibility

The Compensation Coordinator will be responsible for the execution of the processes of Human Resources department, that includes compensation and benefits, organizational culture, conflict management, among others; to ensure the well-being of the company's personnel and align these processes to the organization's strategy.

Specific Area of Responsibility

Your main tasks will be:

  • Perform on a biweekly basis the payroll management process, for the payment of employees.
  • Request monthly payments of external vendors that provide services to Human Resources department and internal payments/ reimbursement requests of crew and staff employees.
  • Carry out and process the monthly government reports (Sirla,TSS and DGII).
  • Perform the process of new entries and dismissals of employees in the company, covering the areas of management systems, notifications to the ministry of labour, creation / elimination of records, etc.
  • Monitor the expense generated by the crew through monthly reports.
  • Support HR Manager on strategic processes, as ROFO elaboration, yearly salary review, department budget, among other tasks related to salary and compensation review.
  • Visit the crew on board, to hear about their needs directly.
  • Be an intermediary in labour relations issues between staff and their direct supervisors, providing harmonious processes and effective conflicts resolution.
  • Support business activities and ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective processes, complying with any contractual and Company’s requirements.
  • Perform other ad hoc tasks as needed.

Requirements/Preferred Education 

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related area, preferred master on relevant degree.

Training and competencies

  • More than 3 year of experience in similar positions, preferable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Payroll System (Dynasoft).
  • Solid understanding of HR fundamentals – recruitment, learning and development, compensation and benefits, employee and industrial relations.
  • Strong abilities to build relationships and manage multiple stakeholders' interests.
  • High energy with strong desire to achieve and proven capabilities of multi-tasking and working under pressure and deadlines.
  • Capable to be an inspiring partner for the organization, visible driving force on company values.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented personality.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills across multiple levels in the organization and with external and internal stakeholders.
  • A high level of cultural awareness, enabling effective communication across a diverse and large geographic area.
  • Ability to work in a global business environment and in a matrix organization.
  • Fluent written and spoken English. Advanced written and spoken Spanish preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office application.
  • Safety environment awareness.
