Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Develops software including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design.

Role Overview

As an OSS Assurance Product Architect/Sr Principal Systems/Software Engineer  you will lead the architectural design, technical roadmap, and end-to-end strategy for next-generation telecom software products. You will bridge the gap between product management and engineering, ensuring our Fault Management, Performance Management, and Service Impact platforms are scalable, cloud-native, and capable of closed-loop automation.

What you will do :

  • Architectural Design: Define end-to-end product architecture and reusable design patterns across Fault, Performance, and Service Quality Management.

  • Roadmap & Strategy: Translate high-level business goals and customer needs into actionable technical specifications, establishing architectural direction for product development.

  • Architect data platforms for massive-scale network telemetry, correlation algorithms, and automated incident remediation/workflows.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Product Managers, UX, QA, and R&D teams to ensure security, scalability, and performance are prioritized throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Standards Compliance: Ensure product designs align with Telecom standards (TM Forum/eTOM, SID, TAM, Open APIs) and IT best practices.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.

  • Overall, 12+ Years of industry experience

  • Minimum 3 years experience in the relevant skills explained in the requirement.

What you will bring :

  • Experience: 12+ years in telecom software, specifically in Operations Support Systems (OSS) domains (Service Assurance, Fault Management, Performance Monitoring).

  • Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of network technologies (RAN, Core, NFV/SDN, IP/Ethernet, and Fiber) and telecom eTOM/NGOSS frameworks.

  • Tech Stack & Architecture:

    • Microservices, event-driven, and Service-Oriented Architecture (SoA).

    • Cloud-native infrastructure: Kubernetes: (vanilla/GKE/EKS/RHOCP). Docker ,mTLS, RBAC, Network Policies, and Pod Security Standards.

    • Cloud-native technologies and distributed systems: Kafka for high-throughput event streaming, Apache Cassandra for carrier-grade distributed storage, Apache Pinot for real-time OLAP analytics

    • Familiarity with languages like Java, Python, and modern data pipelines.

    • Observability architecture: metrics (Prometheus, Grafana), logs (Fluentbit, OpenSearch)

  • Soft Skills: Exceptional stakeholder management, technical communication, and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
