Oldsmar, FL (Calgaz) - Industrial spec gasResponsibilities include management and leadership of production, material planning, and inventory operations in an ISO environment.
Be responsible for and mange loading the plate and dispatch of stock items in 24 hours
Complete performance reviews, salary reviews, approval of training plans through the Production managers, collaborating in work-hazard evaluations, provide feedback to employees often on recognition or desired improvements.
Demonstrated experience and success in a short cycle time, multiple product line environment. Improve performance of the operation as measured by defined reporting indices.
Provide status reports on projects and on-going operations as well as direct support for specific goals as set by the General Manager.
Ensure through the Production managers that the facility is properly maintained including housekeeping of the work areas and all employees maintain the required levels of Health and Safety adhering to the site working policy.
Ensure that all standard operating procedures are accurately documented and followed
Ensure operation meets or exceeds all safety procedures and standards.
Ensure quality is integral and is enforced as a part of every job function.
Lead documentation investigation of corrective/preventive actions for failures at a senior level.
New qualification tracking and data reporting
Communication with departments, or outside customers for support or problem resolution.
Cost/financial element reporting at a senior level, System monitoring, training and evaluation
Ensure that all workloads employees are planned, prioritized, monitored and organized through the Production managers.
Ensure capacity planning is efficient to accommodate holidays for the full Production process whilst agreeing overtime with the General Manager ensuring that it is cost efficient
Problem solving from an operational and customer point of view ensuring that your own initiative is used where possible and escalating where necessary.
Continuous development of company and legislative guides.
Ability to support the senior management team in driving the business forward
Overall Site Security of the property and facility and controls daily operations of the US Calgaz manufacturing facility.
Responsible for facilitating internal audits and IMS compliance
Direct Responsibility of the Calgaz activities for Inventory Control, Procurement, All Production Planning, Regulator Production and Customer Service. Responsible for customer satisfaction by working with Calgaz sales to develop new products and provide technical assistance (travel off site as required)
Primary liaison for corporate support such as HR, supply chain/sourcing strategy, legal and the shared services (AP/AR)
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field of study preferred.
Minimum of 7 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent
Ability and experience of using initiative to solve problems
Excellent knowledge of Manufacturing systems and managing operation
Experience of working within the industrial and specialty gases environment
Experience of process manufacturing within an FMCG environment
Experience of implementing and monitoring KPI’s and Targets
Experience of ISO processes and procedures
Experience of stock control, Production planning and continuous improvement
Proficient in Oracle
Knowledge of Plant/Production Layout, six sigma and lean techniques
Ability to manage continuous improvement at a senior level
Ability to work under pressure whilst achieving deadlines
Knowledge of all best practice quality management systems
Strong communicator who builds and establishes strong lines of communication with project controls staff, project management and senior management
Strong analytical skills and vision to forecast and implement most successful course of action for the company in a highly competitive environment
Knowledge of chemical systems including piping, valves, pumps, mixers, and similar equipment
Ability to work in and promote a team environment
Ability to direct employees while following all established policies and procedures.
