Position Summary
The Sr. Manager will be a part of the IM SC Procurement Excellence. In this role, he / she will function as the Procurement/Source Process Design Lead for the IM Transcend Program to independently spearhead the development of Direct and Indirect Procurement and Purchase-to-Pay processes. This role requires critical thinking, effective cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to influence business partners at all levels. He / She must be able to demonstrate a combination of critical thinking and deep operational understanding of Procurement processes and ERP programs to achieve transformation goals of IM Transcend.
Transcend is a global business transformation program that will modernize our foundational transactional processes and harmonize them into one “clean” ERP as a standardized platform for growth and efficiency gains. This program will simplify the Pharmaceutical ERP landscape from 7 to 1, standardizing processes to have a cost-effective, fit-for-purpose digital backbone that will enable us to support the Pharmaceutical business with agility. Additionally, the program will remediate the end-of-life system exposure that we risk towards the end of this decade.
The Sr. Manager will possess expert knowledge of the SOURCE/PLAN functional space, focusing on enabling and standardising essential business capabilities and products to address key process requirements within these areas. Success in this role depends on collaborating with major business partners to thoroughly understand current business needs and capabilities, conduct benchmarking, drive continuous improvement, maintain consistent process documentation, and ensure effective product deployment across programmes. This professional should skillfully combine business expertise, technical proficiency, and digital insight to engage a diverse range of business partners and global process owners. The ideal candidate must confidently work hands-on with program teams and provide strategic support to senior leadership.
Develop and implement a global standardization within IM of Planner/Buyer processes that addresses business requirements
Independently lead the development of Transcend Design for Direct and Indirect Procurement and Purchase-to-Pay processes with minimal guidance.
Incorporate strategic capabilities into the Transcend Design for Direct and Indirect Procurement and Purchase-to-Pay processes while maintaining compliance to the “clean core” and global template concepts
Develop collaboratively with MT and Corporate Procurement the strategic roadmap of capabilities for Direct and Indirect Procurement and Purchase-to-Pay processes for future releases/upgrades for IM Transcend
Drive cross-functional alignment on process design by bringing together teams involved in IM Transcend, Procurement, Source, Global Services, and Accounts Payable functions to systematically assess various points of view and develop optimal solutions
Apply a Global Template approach by incorporating a big-picture perspective into process design and discussions, influencing business partners from executive leadership to technical subject matter experts.
Drive the standardization and harmonization of process design while ensuring that local needs are effectively met.
Engage hands-on in the Transcend design processes, including User Requirements coordination, Business User Story definition, Process flow mapping and Data Readiness
Actively participate in and/or drive Transcend processes such as Business Simulation Testing and User Acceptance Testing, setting optimum test strategies to minimize risks and Data Readiness - cleansing and validation efforts
Oversee the execution of Transcend deliverables to ensure project success and participate in technical defect resolution
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree is required
Minimum of 10 years of operational background in Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) processes – both Direct and Indirect purchasing, with a deep understanding of Procurement, Global Services, and Accounts Payable functions.
Prior experience in completing several SAP ERP implementation cycles (e.g. Design, Build, Test, Deploy and Hypercare) is a plus
Strategic Procurement including contract negotiations and finalization is a plus.
Knowledge of Capital, Construction and Facilities Services (CCFS) category/procurement is a plus.
Knowledge of creating and deploying new buying channel capabilities
Prior experience in designing and deploying supplier collaboration tools (SCC, SNC, etc.) is a plus.
Proven track record of cross-functional influencing and achieving organizational alignment at all levels.
Experience managing to project timelines and achievements in complex business environments.
Skilled at engaging and building relationships with senior business

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$122,000.00 - $212,750.00Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
