As Product Manager (Physical Product), you will drive the evolution of the HelloFresh product portfolios, ensuring they meet the needs of Kiwi customers while aligning with business objectives. This role is critical in defining and executing a customer-centric product strategy that enhances retention, order rate, and revenue growth.
Sitting at the intersection of physical and digital product teams, you will be responsible for managing the New Zealand meal kit portfolio, optimizing the core offering, and leading strategic initiatives such as menu expansion, market differentiation, and affordability-focused innovations. You will work cross-functionally to shape the future of the business while maintaining operational efficiency and financial viability.

You will…
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and execute the HelloFresh product strategy for New Zealand, ensuring it aligns with ANZ and global priorities.
- Develop and implement a quarterly product roadmap, collaborating with key teams (Operations, Culinary, and Commercial).
- Portfolio Growth & Optimization: Analyse customer retention and ordering patterns to identify opportunities for growth. Optimise the menu structure, ingredient selection, and costings to enhance customer experience while maintaining operational efficiency. Lead new value-driven product initiatives that expand customer reach and improve affordability.
- Cross-Functional Execution: Work closely with Culinary, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Tech to develop and launch new products. Own the execution of strategic projects that improve product variety, accessibility, and cost-effectiveness.
- Customer & Market Insights: Lead Voice of the Customer initiatives, using data and feedback to refine the product offering. Identify market gaps and propose solutions to improve personalisation and better serve diverse customer needs in NZ.
You have/are…
- 4-6 years of experience working for a strategy consultancy firm and/or in product management, development or customer strategy. 1 year of managerial experience would be preferential
- Proven experience in crafting data-driven business/ product strategy and translating into detailed roadmaps based on cross-functional inputs
- Able to influence, gather input and drive alignment among a diverse set of stakeholders. You are able to lead without authority and motivate others to deliver on longer term projects as well as day to day operations
- Well-versed with web-based consumer behaviour and UX and obsessed with Customer experience (that you balance with a strong business acumen)
- Outstanding analytical skills, a demonstrated ability to pull and interpret large amounts of data and make sound business judgement and recommendations
- Able to write succinct and compelling business proposals and recommendations
- Have strong up and downward management skills with clear communication
- Have a “roll up sleeves” attitude to entering workstreams and getting them over the line
- Proactive, ambitious, and assertive: you take ownership of your work
- Entrepreneurial and can make things happen
- Experience using HelloFresh or EveryPlate is a plus!
