The Data Insights Analyst will be responsible for the development and maintenance of operational, financial and sales reporting across all segments of the Heavy Equipment line of business.  The position will create complex reports leveraging PowerBI, SQL and other existing tools.  These reports will assist management in making business decisions based off clearly illustrated visual analytics, dashboards and datasets.  This role will work closely with leadership across the Heavy Equipment line of business and IT support staff.

Reporting 90%

  • Development and maintenance of visualization, dashboarding, reporting, and Datasets across various platforms
  • Improve the Data Warehouse through data analysis and providing feedback to the DW owners
  • Document and write user stories and requirements, participate in PI planning sessions on identified enhancements/fixes
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions in the development of new solutions that tell a story
  • Manage data through various reporting tools for data analysis to support various projects
  • Manages and documents assigned projects and maintains current project list that includes status, milestones & deadlines, accessible to manager
  • Executes on multiple projects with varying deadlines; communicates status to manager regularlyas needed
  • Assists with training junior level staff for specific tasks identified by manager
  • Perform all other duties and participate in special projects assigned

Insurance Tracking 10%

  • Ability to understand complex insurance forms to allow accurate updating to the client’s database so clients can meet complicated regulatory obligations and to ensure the equipment has insurance coverage at all times.
  • Identify and interpret terminology from complex insurance forms and determine action needed.
  • Validate documents in accordance with established client procedures.
  • Learn and process more than one client, if the opportunity is available.
