Job Title:

Director-Dialysis Services - Dialysis-Administration

Job Summary:

To direct, manage, and coordinate the operational activities and clinical services of acute and chronic inpatient/outpatient adult and pediatric dialysis. To ensure that all processes and procedures in the dialysis patient care area(s) are in compliance with UMMC and all regulatory standards. To provide leadership in the delivery of optimal patient care.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Master's degree preferred, plus five (5) years of related clinical experience, two (2) of these years in a supervisory or managerial role, and a minimum of 1 year dialysis clinical experience valid RN license.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:  Valid RN license.

Leadership and management skills. Project management skills including the ability to effectively manage resources and expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and directs the operations and delivery of patient care within the assigned area(s) in accordance with budgetary and staffing guidelines.
  • Collaborates in the establishment and implementation of short and long range goals and objectives, policies and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates programmatic and operational effectiveness; recommends and implements measures to improve the delivery of optimum patient care
  • Participates in the planning, preparation, and prioritization of operating and capital budgets for the dialysis unit(s); monitors and investigates variances and develops actions to address as applicable.
  • Participates in the QAPI process for dialysis unit(s) to improve and promote the quality of patient care provided.
  • Demonstrates core standards of exceptional customer service
  • Collaborates with medical staff and other interdisciplinary caregivers in planning and facilitating optimum patient care.
