Job Title: Senior Product Manager

Job Description: The Senior Product Manager at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Milwaukee, WI will collaborate with engineers, data architects, leadership, and business stakeholders to enhance and modernize top tier financial planning platforms. Utilize Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) practices. Design and architect full stack software systems. Lead initiatives to break down monolithic architecture into business driven microservices defined as business domains. Lead product definition and evolution of API development across planning services tech stack. Utilize knowledge of software engineering, computer networks, and experience working with cloud technologies and infrastructures to work with cloud services and AWS teams to define future state of financial planning platform. Lead demand intake, refinement, ART sync, and PI planning ceremonies. Work closely with engineers to design solutions or enhance existing functionality while creating necessary documentation. Execute advanced level technical transformations and deliver desired solutions. Define and measure maturation of user adoption across organization as the legacy applications footprint are reduced. Manage status updates of technical projects and creation of Power BI dashboards leveraging expertise in Jira and Jira Align to measure the progress of technical initiatives, creation of milestones as well as identify and prioritize areas for subsequent feature development. Telecommuting permitted. Salary $123,386- $203,840 per year.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field plus 1 year (or a Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years) of experience as a technical product manager or related occupation. Experience must include 1 year with each of the following: (1) utilizing Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) practices; (2) designing and architecting full stack software systems; (3) Java, Kotlin, or Node with React; (4) data engineering using SaaS platforms, AWS, Azure, or GCP; (5) managing technology projects using Jira or Trello; and (6) Power BI, Tableau, or Crystal Reports.
