What you’ll do

As Commercial Finance Business Partner for Companion Animal, you will own the financial performance of the business by leading local P&L transparency, driving profitable growth, and translating commercial and operational data into clear, actionable insights. Acting as a trusted partner to the General Manager and commercial leaders, you will proactively identify margin and growth opportunities, support pricing and key account decisions, and guide forecasting, planning, and investment choices with accountability and pace. You’ll take ownership of financial outcomes—from customer profitability and cash flow to innovation ROI and M&A evaluations—making confident decisions while staying connected across marketing, R&D, operations, and supply chain. Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for a commercially minded finance leader who owns outcomes and is energized by accountability, impact, and partnership. You’re a self‑starter who is comfortable making decisions with incomplete information, thinks beyond the numbers, and connects financial insight to commercial and operational reality. You bring strong P&L ownership experience, sound judgment, and the confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders while working in sync with cross‑functional teams. Curious, pragmatic, and decisive, you move quickly, take responsibility for results, and actively look for ways to improve profitability, cash flow, and long‑term growth. In line with Nutreco’s Own It mindset, you take ownership of your decisions, your development, and the impact you create—helping the business deliver results today while contributing to Nutreco’s purpose of Feeding the Future.

You’ll also need

• Strong P&L ownership and financial leadership experience, with a proven ability to ensure transparency, accuracy, and reliability of financial results while driving profitability and informed decision‑making.

• Commercial finance and margin management expertise, including customer and product profitability analysis, pricing support, and margin optimization across complex product mixes and customer segments.

• Ability to partner with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams, acting as a trusted advisor to commercial, marketing, R&D, and operational leaders to support growth initiatives and strategic decisions.

• Experience in forecasting, financial planning, and performance tracking, with the capability to manage monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles and translate insights into clear actions for the business.

• Sound commercial judgment and governance capability, including exposure to key account management, contract and receivables oversight, cash flow management, and support of M&A or investment business cases.
