Job Summary:
The Finance Intern is an active member of the Wellstar Corporate Finance team. You will gain hands-on experience by working alongside our Accounting, Finance, Financial Planning, and Treasury team. We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and highly motivated Finance Intern to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate finance, financial reporting, and strategic analysis within a fast-paced environment.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Data Analysis: Help analyze financial data and trends to provide insights into departmental performance and budget variances.
Accounts Support: Assist with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, including invoice verification and reconciliation.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting updates.
Audit Preparation: Help organize documentation for internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
Research: Conduct market research or industry benchmarking to support strategic initiatives.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial workflows and improve data accuracy.
Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum 2 years college student, minimum 2 years of college courses completed Preferred
Required Minimum Skills:
Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and basic modeling). Experience with ERP software (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) or BI tools is a plus. Medium
