We have an immediate need of an experienced Staff Product Manager who will continue accelerating financial banking innovation into the market with fresh ideas and a founders mindset. A successful candidate will continuously work to solve important banking user problems and improve end user financial health. We are looking for someone we can trust, that will lead and execute based on facts and data. We are looking for someone with the desire to work with like-minded individuals to pursue the path of success and mastery. 

Job Duties

  • Be a true leader with responsibility for designing, developing, and launching software alongside a talented team. Your area of responsibility will lead and cover requirements gathering, strategy creation, documentation creation, timeline specification, user experience analysis, quality assurance, product performance, and product usage

  • Identify impactful opportunities using quantitative and qualitative data 

  • Work with a cross-functional team of designers, writers, software engineers, data scientists, quality assurance engineers, and product marketers to build and bring innovative products to market that align with the MX mission

  • Use your experience in product management to work on new cutting-edge and innovative solutions 

  • Gain a strong understanding of the financial industry and work with a diverse size of companies in the space

  • Strengthen a comprehensive understanding of finances, account and transaction types and methods of data enhancement used to provide the best end user experience

  • Work with valuable data that has significant impact on the end users life

  • Thinking through the pros and cons of a solution and using data to drive the right option

  • Empathizing with users through research and usability testing sessions

  • Giving incredible attention to detail and obsess over simplicity and consistency

  • Communicate ideas and concepts effectively through mock-up’s or detailed documentation

  • Accept and give thoughtful critique in a collaborative environment

  • Develop strategies to retain current clients and implement solutions and products that drive accelerated growth

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in creating products that have impact on on business and product metrics

  • 12+ years experience in the full software and product development lifecycle, with an understanding of the fundamentals of building successful SaaS products preferred

  • Prior experience working with APIs and/or cloud infrastructure is preferred but not required 

  • FDX/Open Banking experience is preferred but not required 

  • Excellent internal cross-team and external customer-facing communication skills

  • Expert-level knowledge of prioritizing complex problems

  • Self-starter attitude and the ability to own projects from concept to finish

  • A Growth-Mindset attitude with a desire to always learn and improve

  • Well-versed in user centric solutions

  • Passion to solve difficult problems

  • A background in Fintech or banking is a plus

Compensation

The expected on-target earnings (OTE), which is comprised of a base salary and other forms of cash compensation, such as bonus or commissions is currently $150,000 to $180,000. This pay range is just one component of MX's total rewards package. MX takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location, skillset, peer compensation.

We utilize a hybrid work arrangement style, which may require both local and remote team members to be in the office when necessary, to kick off projects, hold cross team strategy meetings, or complete key deliverables. Remote team members will travel into the office four times per year, and MX covers travel expenses associated with this requirement.
