You would be a part of a team that is responsible for software product management within the Global Reference Lab Information Systems, we bridge the gap between what the users need, and we turn that into requirements and work with the technical teams to prioritize it and then realize it within the laboratory.  Outstanding opportunity to join the Global Reference Laboratory product management team!

The Business Analyst II will join a team shaping the future of the Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) at IDEXX.  IDEXX’s custom platform is rapidly growing and innovating and we need good people to help guide the software realization process.  If you’re excited about shaping a global software system that will empower employees to continue record growth, this could be your next role!

Location: We are looking for someone to be based out of Netherlands. This is a 100% remote position.

In this role…

  • You will perform analysis of business goals, objectives, and needs. 
  • You will analyze business-oriented projects where software may be part of the process or solution.
  • Plan and design business processes and make recommendations and changes in order to improve and support business activities, software and systems.
  • Utilize data and systems to resolve business issues in the most effective and productive manner.   
  • Elicit, analyze, validate and document business, organizational and/or operational requirements. 
  • Assist and lead projects and teams.
  • Introduce improvements to our software realization process based on both past experiences and industry best practices

To succeed in this role…

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing or Science; or an equivalent combination of related education and experience. Masters Degree, a plus.
  • 3-5+ years of related professional business analyst experience is preferred, or with a combination of software project management experience, and/or related software product experience.
  • Ability to translate business process or concepts into technical requirements (and vice versa).
  • Ability to define functional and non-functional requirements based on the needs of the users.
  • Solid financial management and analysis skills.
  • Solid project management skills and abilities.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize across multiple initiatives.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.

Nice to have…

  • IIBA Certification or Business Analyst Professional, a plus
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Experience in business modeling and process engineering preferred.
  • Agile/Scrum methodology experience
  • Business or systems experience within the functional area a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience in the health care industry a plus.
