Job Summary

Responsible for managing and coordinating the daily operations of a contract management team who provides legal advice and guidance to staff and executives in complex contract negotiations and compliance, product development and operations. Assists with contract negotiations, including review and revision of contracts. Hires, onboards, trains and coaches a team of employees. May manage a team including exempt and non- exempt employees. Provides subject matter guidance to employees as required. Develops processes and procedures to drive department efficiencies. Assists in development and meeting of departmental budget.

*** Must be a US Citizen. A secret level clearance is preferred but at a minimum the candidates must be willing to subject themselves to the security clearance process to obtain the appropriate clearance.

• Oversees a team of contract managers who provides continuous counsel and guidance on complex legal matters and on legal implications of matters.
• Performs legal research and provides opinions or memoranda regarding contract liability and on general corporate issues.
• Acts as initial point of contact for internal teams concerning legal aspects and interpretation of larger scale, complex, contracts.
• Assists team members in communicating new and/or modified contract terms, for new and existing products, to all affected internal teams (i.e. operations, sales, finance, audit, customer support and/or data management) for their incorporation into and/or adaptation of their departmental processes.
• Oversees a team who negotiates and drafts new agreements and/or amendments to existing contracts, interacting with in-house and outside counsel, as appropriate.
• May present out to executive leadership on business updates and key topics.
• Manages the contract approval process.
• Hires, onboards, trains and coaches a team of employees.
• Manages projects as assigned.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
