This role is onsite 5 days a week in Houston, TX

About the Role:

As a Business Development Manager, you will lead efforts for growing the regional sales and revenue of the local marketplace in your region. This role encompasses overseeing vendor partnerships, driving revenue growth, and managing operations to ensure exceptional experiences for vendors and customers. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the local business strategy, managing the P&L, mentoring the BDAs and fostering collaboration across different teams to drive sales goals.

What you will do:

  • Develop and execute strategies to expand the local marketplace and drive GMV growth in your region.
  • Manage the regional P&L, ensuring financial and operational success.
  • Identify market opportunities and pain points, and design solutions to expand revenue.
  • Oversee and support Business Development Associates to ensure seamless vendor onboarding, vendor satisfaction, and performance alignment.
  • Partner with the local operations team to ensure smooth daily activities. 
  • Work with vendors and cross-functional teams to deliver a best-in-class user experience. Collaborate with operations, marketing, product, and tech teams to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Collect vendor and customer feedback, address emergency issues, and provide actionable insights to internal teams to continuously improve operations and platform functionality.
  • Analyze dashboards, track key performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement

What you need:

  • Proven experience in business development, operations management or supply chain management in food services or e-commerce strongly preferred
  • Analytical and strategic thinking to manage P&L and identify growth opportunities.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to drive results and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Customer focused with a sales driven mindset
  • Flexibility to adapt quickly to new challenges and dynamic environments.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English preferred, to effectively communicate with vendor communities.

Compensation Range

  • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $82,500 - $97,000
  • This role may be eligible to discretionary bonus, incentives and benefits 
  • Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location
