Position Summary: We are seeking a passionate and results-oriented senior leader to join our team and build data foundations and tools that shape the future. The successful candidate will spearhead our Enterprise BI Reporting service offerings within the Data, Analytics, and AI Enterprise Services department. They should possess substantial technical expertise in initiating projects from inception through to successful delivery.

This individual should be well-versed in modern practices related to Data, Cloud, Advanced Analytics, and BI Reporting. The candidate will design and implement scalable, extensible, and highly available BI solutions on large volume data sets that will enable actionable insights, strategy, and ML workloads across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will have a track record of successfully implementing and managing large-scale global initiatives, as well as leading global teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enterprise BI Reporting Delivery: Oversee the design, development, and management of scalable and reliable BI reporting solutions that support data products deployment for the Enterprise.
  • Service Leadership: Manage a team of BI Architects and Developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence aligned to McKesson’s values. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members to ensure professional development and growth. Hire and retain top BI talent, set performance expectations, conduct regular assessments, and foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Strategic Leadership in BI Reporting: Contribute to the development of a comprehensive enterprise BI strategy that aligns with McKesson’s business objectives, emphasizing the strategic use of data as a key asset in driving business outcomes. Lead engineering practices and define best of class practices for implementation across the organization.
  • Innovation in Data Technologies and Practices: Lead the adoption of cutting-edge BI technologies and methodologies to enhance data accessibility, quality, and insights. This also involves selecting appropriate technologies, tools, and platforms to ensure efficient data delivery.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Integration: Foster strong collaboration with business units, IT, and analytics teams to ensure BI practices meet evolving business needs. Develop and deliver data solutions backed by strong cross-functional collaboration.

Minimum Requirements

Typically requires 10+ years of professional experience and 4+ years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skills (or equivalent experience).

Critical Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in a technology role; proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in a large, complex organization.
  • 8+ years Data Analytics/BI experience
  • 4+ years Leading technical teams of Business Intelligence Engineers, encouraging a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Hands-on experience building and delivering Enterprise Data Visualization Solutions
  • Conduct market research on BI trends to keep the BI function at the forefront of innovation and best practices.
  • Apply financial domain knowledge to enhance BI solutions, providing valuable insights to finance teams.
  • Manage and prioritize the workload of the BI team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of projects.
  • Extensive market knowledge and experience with cutting edge Data, Analytics, Data Science, ML and AI technologies
  • Expertise in Python, Unix Shell scripting and Dependency driven job schedulers.
  • Expertise in Data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau and Looker is a plus

  • Experience with data in the drug supply chain and commercial domain within healthcare, pharma is a plus
  • Strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills; comfortable managing trade-offs
  • Ability to lead others without direct authority
  • Highly influential and ability to educate stakeholders on the role of data and its purpose in the business
  • Teams up and collaborates for speed, agility, delivery excellence and innovation
  • Strong negotiation and decision-making skills

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$137,000 - $228,400
