ROLE SUMMARY:

The International Markets IC & CFCD CoE is a service function within GCEE’s Commercial Operations Team. This role will be responsible for leading Incentive Compensation (IC) strategic design and delivery activities within the International Tier 3 markets to enable the Business to drive higher Customer Facing Colleague performance and customer engagement ROI. The Incentive Compensation Manager – Tier 3 Markets role will collaborate strategically with Business Leaders in Tier 3 markets, other Commercial Operations functions, and the respective CMO Business Partners to design and operationalize strategic Incentive Compensation programs and key Incentive Compensation improvement initiatives for Tier 3 markets. This includes influencing, modeling, defining, and managing the implementation of Incentive Compensation bonus plans, Quota Setting, and other performance recognition programs for Tier 3 markets.

The Incentive Compensation Manager – Tier 3 Markets role will support the International Markets IC & CFCD CoE by leading strategic International Markets projects and key initiatives to advance the strategic value proposition of the CoE.

Key Attributes:

Accountable for delivering Incentive Compensation services within Tier 3 markets while leveraging technical expertise and analytical skills to drive strategic value and ensure service continuity and quality.

Responsible for the following IC activities:

  • IC bonus plan design

  • Quota setting methodology design

  • IC program health analysis and identification of improvement opportunities

  • Award and recognition programs design at the local level

  • Collaboration and partnership with the Global Operations Service Center (GOSC) to deliver timely and accurate IC services and program administration

  • IC related compliance policy management and application (GMIS policy)

  • IC data analysis and insights generation to drive strategic IC model evolution discussions with business stakeholders

  • Develop deep expertise in the products, markets, and business priorities of supported markets

  • Work proactively with Business Leaders to identify solutions and design simple, motivating, fiscally responsible, and compliant IC plans

Enables the International Markets IC & CFCD CoE to implement service improvements and innovation to Incentive Compensation.

Reports to the Tier 3 Markets Incentive Compensation Lead.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement new processes, tools, initiatives as required by regional and global guidelines
  • Proactively identify business needs and opportunities for enhancing existing services
  • Generate and communicate IC analysis to monitor the health of IC programs through reports and dashboards as aligned with market stakeholders
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently, lead by example, and effectively deliver on IC business strategies, goals, and objectives through influence, persuasion, analysis, negotiation, and facilitation capabilities
  • Own process governance related to all Incentive Compensation services
  • Create and maintain production calendar through managing communication and alignment of operations calendars with relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure stakeholder accountability regarding input data ownership, validation, quality, and timelines adherence
  • Understand and adhere to all relevant IC policies and procedures as well as Legal and Compliance requirements related to Incentive Compensation
  • Partner with the Global Operations Service Center (GOSC) to calculate bonus payouts, contests, awards, and field quotas using defined process maps and approved tools and templates
  • Ensure all incentive compensation deliverables are accurate and produced and distributed to the Field Force in a timely manner
  • Maintain audit readiness through meticulous documentation, record keeping and archiving in coordination with GOSC

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, data science, operations research or related quantitative field; MBA or equivalent Master’s level degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of pharma industry experience in commercial operations / sales force effectiveness / Incentive Compensation / Process Design & Optimization
  • Experience with production and timeline management
  • Experience in planning and implementing process tasks with the ability to drive results, analyze data, and report progress in a complex environment
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management, establish trust and build consensus
  • Good written and oral communication skills with the ability to facilitate successful presentations to individuals and/or small groups
  • Ability to work across cultures within a remote and geographically dispersed team setting
  • Ability to navigate through language barriers and develop working relationships across different countries and markets
  • Excellent software skills (Excel, Tableau, Word, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn new systems quickly is a must.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Knowledge of change management systems
  • Ability to achieve results while acting in both a supportive and team-oriented manner
