Job Summary: The Cloud Architect will lead the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, designing cloud environments that meet these needs, and overseeing the migration of existing systems to the cloud. The Cloud Architect will also stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices to ensure the organization remains competitive. Key Responsibilities: • Cloud Strategy Development: Develop and implement the organization’s cloud strategy, including selecting appropriate cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and ensuring alignment with business goals. • Architecture Design: Design and build scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architectures that support high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization. • Cloud Migration: Lead the migration of on-premises applications and data to cloud environments, ensuring minimal disruption and adherence to best practices. • Security Management: Implement and manage cloud security measures, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). • Cost Management: Optimize cloud costs by selecting appropriate services and implementing cost-saving strategies like resource tagging, auto-scaling, and reserved instances. • Automation and CI/CD: Develop and implement automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines to streamline cloud operations and deployments. • Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Set up and manage monitoring tools to ensure the health and performance of cloud systems, and optimize systems based on performance data. • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with DevOps, development, and IT teams to integrate cloud solutions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth operations. • Documentation and Training: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture, processes, and procedures. Provide training and support to team members on cloud technologies and best practices. • Innovation and Best Practices: Stay current with the latest cloud technologies, tools, and industry trends. Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to the cloud environment. Required Skills: • Experience: 5+ years of experience in cloud computing, with a focus on architecture, design, and implementation. Experience with multiple cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is preferred. • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of cloud architecture and services, including compute, storage, networking, security, and databases. Proficiency in cloud management tools, scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell), and CI/CD pipelines. • Security: In-depth knowledge of cloud security principles, including IAM, data protection, and compliance requirements. • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud issues. • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Terraform). • Experience in a multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environment. • Knowledge of serverless architectures and microservices.
