Product Manager - CommBank Yello Strategy & Operation

You will be part of the CommBank Yello Strategy & Operations Squad . The squad’s purpose is to drive advocacy for our loyalty program by setting and embedding a strategy that is loved by customers, adopted by frontline and technically feasible. The squad is a mix of people who are great at analysing and showcasing our performance, supporting with frontline queries and managing products stakeholders across the bank.

Do work that matters:

Within the CommBank Yello Strategy & Operations Squad you will work closely with both product and frontline to both launch new offers for customers, embed engagement and solve customer/frontline pain points. You will be working with multiple squads across the bank, dealing with a diverse range of products and services.

We are shifting operations, with an ambitious agenda of new capability build, delivering better offers faster, and embedding customer loyalty at the same time. On any given day you will: 

  • Lead product process developments and enhancements utilizing customer-centered design thinking. Influence key product decisions and prioritization through compelling performance insights including business outcomes and customer experience.
  • Drive product change initiatives to continuously improve the product offering and processes, enhancing customer outcomes and value, supporting the product owner to prioritize and continually refine the product backlog to meet our crew objectives and key results (OKRs).
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key business and technical stakeholders across CommBank internal partners , technology, risk, and operations to expedite solution design and delivery.
  • Develop into a subject matter expert and provide advice and input leveraging that expertise into the product and proposition strategy.
  • Support the squad as required in consolidating requirements, participating in user acceptance / business verification and testing in agile delivery of initiatives for squad owned assets.
  • Support the Product Owner focusing on day-to-day product management of existing and new applications owned by the squad.
  • Manage operational risk incidents and issues relating to the product, uplifting and implementing controls where required. Engage with internal risk and product governance frameworks to augment the risk management practices.
  • Demonstrate leadership and direction when problem production incidents occur and support PO in maintaining the responsibility of the voice of the business
  • Support the Product owner establish the vision for the strategic initiatives, project/release and communicate the drivers and benefits to stakeholders

 

We're interested in hearing from people who possess a combination of the below:

  • Experience/accreditation as a Product Manager additionally with a Business Analyst certification is highly regarded
  • Experience with effective planning and the ability to contribute to tactical and strategic planning in support of the business objectives
  • Experience in driving projects involving requirement gathering, prioritization, solution workshopping, implementation, and Post implementation reviews
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, and experience in proactively and creatively utilising analytics to drive decision making
  • Advanced problem solving, planning, analysis, project management and decision-making skills
  • Relevant experience in using data and analytics to drive business results, preferably in the Financial Services sector
  • Advanced communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills for communicating strategy recommendations – particularly written
  • Self-motivated, proactive and diligent, capable of juggling multiple projects with a can-do attitude and working to tight deadline
  • Prior experience technologies like Pega, Salesforce, Adobe will be highly beneficial
  • Agile experience or certifications preferred
  • Formal training and certification in SQL, preferably ANSI SQL
  • Exposure to machine learning and AI tools and techniques
  • Prior experience with creating and executing customer journeys, marketing campaigns, or customer decisioning.
