The Opportunity:

The candidate will be able to build professional relationships amongst the many departments that make a tech code work. The candidate will serve as liaison between 808 personnel and Code 80/Carderock administrative personnel, including admin, IT, facilities, security. Building technical writing abilities, professional communication and organizational skills to provide support between the parts that make up Code 80.

Responsibilities:

General

  • Lead weekly coordination meetings with head of Code 808 to address ongoing actions.

  • Act as Code 808 rep at safety/security/admin meetings.

  • Track ongoing administrative action items, and status with POCs as needed.

  • Information Technology

  • Coordinate establishment of classified networks (SDREN, C/70, etc.)

  • Support MTA requests

  • Maintain inventory of RDT&E computers

Security

  • Coordinate and conduct inventories of classified materials

  • Coordinate and conduct support inventories of classified models/test hardware

  • Act as primary BITS administrator, incl. (transmittals, ownership transfers, destruction)

  • Maintain secure room access list

  • Proctor classified meetings

  • Maintain archive of security forms, incl container checklists and visitor access forms

Logistics

  • Send/receive mail & packages (incl classified)

  • Transport material via govt vehicle (both within and outside local area).

  • Coordinate and escort unauthorized personnel in secure areas (e.g. maintenance, IT, cleaning staff)

  • Submit and track facilities requests. Coordinate with Executive Facilities Assistant.

Administrative

  • Maintain door/cubicle/office signage

  • Author and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, e.g., Shipping & receiving, Visitor procedures

  • Maintain organized workspace - '5-S'

  • Disposal/DRMO of unneeded material

  • Keep common spaces organized

  • Organize supply storage

  • Document scanning & destruction (class & un-class)

  • Procure office items (e.g. supplies, furnishings, whiteboards)


Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Have experience supporting administrative facilities in a Navy environment

  • Be able to balance multiple projects at once

  • Effective Communicator

  • Effective with using MS tools like Excel and Word.

  • U.S. citizenship and Active Secret Security Clearance

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$61,100 - $122,200
