Senior Physical Therapist - Outpatient Therapy - Adults

The Senior Physical Therapist is responsible for providing direct patient care and providing mentorship of the outpatient therapy staff. In this role, they perform orientation and clinical/competency training of rotating therapists. They monitor the ongoing development of the outpatient therapy physical therapy team and collaborate with the PT supervisor to compile annual staff performance reviews. They ensure staff documentation is in accordance with departmental policy. They serve as a clinical resource and demonstrate advanced clinical skills and knowledge in the assessment and treatment of patients. Other duties include treating complex cases, perform ongoing program development, represent the service in interdisciplinary collaboration, and perform other administrative duties as assigned.

This position is a full time, day position Monday – Friday, with weekend and holiday commitments. This position is located at our NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist location.

Preferred Criteria:

  • Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
  • APTA Specialist Certification (ABPTS)
  • American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) membership

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy 
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working as Physical Therapist
  • One year of experience practicing in the outpatient therapy setting
  • New York State Physical Therapist License
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification from the American Heart Association

$120,600-$145,000/Annual
