YOUR ROLE 

The Senior Engineer - Systems (Feature Development) provides technical expertise and leadership for implementing new features and capabilities for embedded Linux platforms. Senior Engineers design and develop new functionality, prototype technologies, and drive innovation within the embedded Linux ecosystem.  

In your daily job you will:  

Development & Implementation 

  • Design and implement new features and capabilities 

  • Prototype new technologies and approaches 

  • Work on cross-platform and cross-architecture development 

  • Write high-quality, maintainable code following team standards 

  • Debug and resolve complex technical issues 

  • Optimize code for performance, reliability, and maintainability 

Technical Leadership 

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers 

  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions 

  • Contribute to architecture and design decisions 

  • Drive technical improvements and best practices 

  • Lead technical initiatives and small projects 

Team Collaboration 

  • Collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional partners 

  • Work with distributed teams across US, Romania, and India 

  • Share knowledge through documentation and technical discussions 

  • Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives 

  • Contribute to team process improvements 

Feature Development Specific 

  • Design and implement new features based on requirements 

  • Prototype new technologies and evaluate approaches 

  • Work on cross-platform and cross-architecture development 

  • Drive innovation within assigned areas 

  • Collaborate with product management on feature requirements 

  • Guide technical direction for new features 

  • Ensure features meet quality, performance, and compatibility requirements
