The Role:
Sitting in the International Division, within the Global Markets Group, this is a newly created role to build our business in India/Middle-East region. The right candidate will assist the GM in developing the marketing strategies and executing them with the team of the distribution partners. Liaise with commercial and cross-functional partner teams to seamlessly direct growth in India/Middle East markets.
Regular Duties:
- Understand brand performance in-market and devise strategies and tactics to drive growth through incremental market share of the brands across channels.
- Work with the International Brand Managers to ensure the marketing activities are in line with designated global brand strategy/positioning.
- Work with partner commercial teams to realise successful implementation of agreed marketing activity calendar and NPD (in line with P&L and marketing objectives).
- Monitor and ensure that marketing spending and activities are in line with contractual commitments.
- Recommend, initiate and oversee launches of new brands/new SKUs, by liaising with partner teams and with the assistance of the international marketing department.
- Develop and evolve an ecosystem of web assets, social media platforms, blogs, online advertising, etc.) that create brand awareness and drive measurable sales pipeline activity across geographies.
- On an ongoing basis, evaluate and optimize spending and channel mix.
- Maintain our social media presence across all digital channels
- Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
- Apply well-honed analytical skills to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touchpoints.
- Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs). Analyze, review, and report on the effectiveness of digital campaigns to optimize results, using the appropriate KPIs (e.g., conversion rates, cost per qualified opportunity, etc.
EDUCATION AND PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent required, MBA highly preferred
- Track record in both India/Middle-East growing global FMCG brands preferably in the personal care/household/OTC space
- At least 8 years sales, marketing and sales management experience in the FMCG sector in India & Middle-East
- Multichannel offline and online experience
- Good knowledge and experience of marketing and brand-building activities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrable record of progress and achievement
- Proven ability to business develop by launching new brands
- Fluency in spoken and written English & Hindi. Additional Arabic & Indian languages experience is a plus.
- Excellent command of MS office programs
