We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Pipeline Specialist located in Houston, Texas

General Description:

The Pipeline Specialist will support the implementation of a successful PSMS, CQMS, & CFR 192 regulatory compliance programs to ensure all federal and state regulatory agency requirements are met for VG pipeline assets.  This role will support the management and continuous improvement of the framework, associated programs and systems. 

Responsibilities:

• Support the development and implementation of VG’s Pipeline Safety Management System & Construction Quality Management System.
• Participate in the maintenance and review of construction specifications and other compliance documents as requested. 
• Develop, organize and maintain reporting tools to keep management and stakeholders apprised of trending compliance tasks and potential challenges. 
• Identify and document process improvement opportunities and work with leadership to drive plans to completion. 
• Remains current with applicable state and federal pipeline safety codes. 
• Lead/support OPEX projects as requested. 
• Provide functional support across the Pipeline capital project portfolio. Functional support will be focused on planning, monitoring, controlling, and closing activities across multiple projects. 
• Support execution of special projects as requested. 

Qualifications:

• Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, or commensurate experience relevant to the job responsibilities. 
  • Minimum of ten years experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Knowledge and experience with 49CFR192 regulations, various state regulations, and industry standards. (preferred experience in Louisiana and Texas).
  • Ability to travel to project sites and consultant offices periodically. 
• Skills: 
  • Experience with MOC, PSSR, HAZID/HAZOP
  • Experience with Engineering Drawings & Specifications preferred.
  • Project management experience preferred. 
  • Ability to work independently, communicate with multiple third parties, and manage multiple concurrent projects.
