The opportunity:

AIA now has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Product Manager to join our Retail Product team, based in either Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.

As the Senior Product Manager, you will implement the Retail product strategy and portfolio financial performance, by driving product profitability and growth through the management of AIA’s flagship Priority Protection product.

In this exciting role, you will also lead and manage key projects incorporating all aspects of the product design framework. You will join a high performing national team and play an integral role in enhancing AIA’s profitability and adviser satisfaction, which drive AIA’s leading market position.

To do this successfully you will:

• Conduct product and customer research and analytics of internal and external trends to help develop the product strategy and support product innovation
• Manage and influence stakeholders across the business to drive outcomes in project deliverables
• Ensure that all product changes are well documented and communicated
• Identify and address product risks and issues
• Manage and review adviser communications, marketing material and PDS
• Project and day to day management of research houses and reinsurers
• Support the development of analysts by answering general and technical enquiries

Successful applications will demonstrate:

• Product management experience ideally gained from the Life Insurance or Superannuation Industry
• An understanding of the key drivers of the life, disability and trauma markets in Australia will he highly regarded
• The ability to influence, negotiate and engage with senior stakeholders
• Proactive problem solving that can create clarity from uncertainty
• Strong planning and implementation skills
