What will you contribute?

The ServiceNow Developer is a Senior technical resource that possesses administration capability and the ability to design, build, and configure platform applications and services. The developer works across applications, delivers new functionality and innovative solutions, and supports the entire development lifecycle. The developer has an extensive software development background that will be enhanced by ServiceNow System Administration, Scripting in ServiceNow, and Application creation. 


Responsibilities & Deliverables:

  • Designs and develops solutions on the ServiceNow platform using best practices

  • Partners with ServiceNow Business Analyst to understand requirements and possible solutions

  • Takes ownership of complex business requirements and works them to completion

  • Takes ownership of incident queue and work on remediation to completion

  • Works closely with the ServiceNow functional team and external development partners to build requested items

  • Experience configuring and improving core and custom applications

  • Experience configuring and maintaining workflows, flow designs, scripts, UI design, ACL and business rules

  • Configure and maintain notifications, UI pages, UI Macros, Script includes and Formatters

  • Supports upgrades and new releases

  • Develops reports and dashboard

  • Load, manipulate and maintain data between ServiceNow and other systems

  • Develops and maintain clear and concise technical and process documentation

  • Other duties as required


Required Experience: 5+Yrs

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and take initiative in identifying and addressing challenges

  • Experienced in effectively coordinating multiple initiatives and working with conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously, efficiently and within a pre-determined time frame

  • Flexible to work in a constantly changing, high-pressure environment

  • Ability to build effective relationships with a range of team members, stakeholders, partners, and business users

  • Basic knowledge of Javascript, HTML and CSS

  • Experience with ServiceNow APIs, web services/plugins of enterprise software systems

  • Knowledge of SLA configuration and remediation

  • Experience in creating reports and dashboards

  • Displays a sense of ownership and exhibits flexibility, resilience, and resourcefulness. 

  • Strong knowledge of ITSM tools

  • Experience with CMDB, Discovery, Asset Management, Event Management, Security Operations/Vulnerability Response, etc.

  • 4+5 years of ServiceNow development experience (required)

  • ServiceNow System Administrator certification (required)

  • ServiceNow Implementation Specialist certification (preferred)

  • Experience creating ServiceNow update sets, promoting and testing through multiple instances into production.

  • Applicants should be willing to support global product deployments, working across different time zones.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or a related discipline required.

  • Nice to have: familiarity with other tools such as Jira, Remedy
